  Following are the minutes from the July 29th 2nd meeting of the first
subcommittee (charter drafting subcommittee):

Were Present:
  Daniel Admassie
  Daniel Yacob
  Dawit Bekele

Agenda:
 - Review and edit the draft charter


Parts I, II, and VIII of the charter were reviewed in detail.  The introduction
of student membership as a new category was made and accepted.  The officiation
process of standards (Part VIII) was modified to give more authority to the 
ad-hoc committee working on the standard.  Time did not allow for further
revisions of the draft charter.  Ato Daniel Admassie will return further 
revisions to the subcommittee Thursday morning.  

The meeting adjourned at 6PM and the subcommittee will meet again at 4:00 PM on
Monday August 4th at the Mathematics Department.
